Who needs a coach anyway ?

Its good news that once and for all the unwanted coach of Team India is gone. He is known as a "strategist", and so has he shown it to the world. He didn't want Team India to win the World Cup. And so showed the doors to the team. Because he knew that, if India remains in the hunt for her second Cup it would be damn difficult for Australia to get a hat-trick of it. And as a patriotic cricket fan he prayed for Australia to win. And who wouldn't love to see the face of that man again ? According to his brother Ian Chappell, Greg was afraid that he doesn't become another Bob Woolmer. And that's the reason why he quit as early as possible. That's one thing about a coach. But I need to ask does any team need a coach at all? All the players who make it to the playing 11 from the whole country, is by no means a dull player. What can a coach do at the most to a player or an individual ? He can only say a theoritical thing here or there. Which quite a common sense. That you can do too. Then why are you not selected at a coach. Well there's not only a thing about coaches. There are assistant coaches too. There are bowling coaches, there are fielding coaches. And that's why players like Jonty Rhodes do get jobs. I don't honestly mind anyone getting a job and earning money. But the question is are these posts but necessary ? Were there coaches for players of the bygone era? No. This fad has become a necessity just recently. And no coach can turn the fortune of any individual or a country. The players themselves are capable of doing so. Who will teach Sachin, Ponting, or Lara to bat. Or Mcgrath, Warne or Ntini to bowl? Let them do what they best can. Without anyone advisting them. Because advising someone the best thing a man can do, and to pay for it is just ridiculous.
